With "Dando," we aim to do justice to a captivating era and a character whose exploits have long been forgotten, ensuring that his story is told in a manner befitting its historical significance.
Furthermore, "Dando" is envisioned as a three-episode series that can also be adapted into a documentary format. Georgian London, 1825. Dando the Oyster Eater’s name is everywhere. He is a superhero. His superpower? The ability to eat dozens and dozens of oysters in one sitting. He’s more of an anti-hero, but he’s a hero nonetheless. His reputation is almost certainly overblown with the papers adoring him and the oyster sellers loudly professing their hatred for him. By his own admission he could probably eat 360 oysters in one go if he put his mind to it. One thing is for sure, however: he absolutely does not have the money to pay for any of these oysters that he eats.
